Unleeshed represented Spark Impact at the 2008 Australian Open Tennis. Twenty staff shared responsibility for manning two stands while roaming Unleeshed staff encouraged people to visit the stands. All staff were trained on the new Nintendo Wii and DS systems with the activation running over nine days.
Careful consideration was taken when selecting staff to ensure we had the right fit for the brand. Each stand was designed to attract a different demographic - the Wii stand was targeted at children while the 'sight training' stand sought to attract customers aged 40-years plus.
With only a limited number of gaming units per stand, cues formed at each stand and staff were required to entertain waiting customers. Other staff duties included coordinating use of the consoles (children at the Wii stand participated in a round-robin style competition), conducting demonstrations of the units and generating overall brand awareness.
All Spark Impact's objectives for the event were met and Unleeshed has since been tasked with running national programs for the organisation.
